This week’s readings encourage us to rely on God, to find hope in the resurrection, and remember that true happiness lies in Him. Each reading is inviting us to put our trust in God’s care and seek His lasting joy. The readings are guiding us to find true happiness by trusting in God and believing in Jesus’ resurrection. We are warned not to rely only on human strength but to trust in God because only God can give us the support and strength we need.

We should hope in the resurrection because if Jesus did not rise from the dead, our faith would be empty. But because Jesus is alive, we have hope for eternal life. This hope in the resurrection gives us strength and purpose, even in hard times. Jesus warns that those who find their joy in earthly comforts may miss true happiness. Instead, Jesus calls us to look beyond this life and seek happiness in God.

Being blessed means finding favor with God, often through hardships. We are encouraged to see blessings in our struggles because God is with us. Jesus warns that those who find comfort in wealth and satisfaction now may miss out on true happiness and that real joy comes from God, not material things. Some people say, “Why believe in the resurrection?” Well, without the resurrection, our faith is useless, and we have no hope. But in today’s readings, we see that Jesus’ resurrection is the foundation of our faith. Believing in the resurrection means trusting that Jesus conquered death. It means having faith that we too will have eternal life. It gives us hope for eternal life with Jesus.

Jesus in today’s readings blesses the poor, hungry, and those who weep, showing us that He cares for those in need and promises them joy. We are warned that material happiness is only temporary. We should think about two ways of living: the way of the righteous and the way of the wicked. Those who choose to avoid sin and delight in God’s law are blessed. We should be like a strong tree with deep roots, stable and fruitful while growing and prospering under God’s care. (PC)

Encontrar la verdadera felicidad confiando en Dios

Las lecturas de esta semana nos animan a confiar en Dios, a encontrar esperanza en la resurrección y a recordar que la verdadera felicidad está en Él. Cada lectura nos invita a poner nuestra confianza en el cuidado de Dios y a buscar su alegría duradera. Las lecturas nos guían para encontrar la verdadera felicidad confiando en Dios y creyendo en la resurrección de Jesús. Se nos advierte que no confiemos solo en la fuerza humana, sino que confiemos en Dios porque solo Dios puede darnos el apoyo y la fuerza que necesitamos.

Debemos tener esperanza en la resurrección porque si Jesús no resucitara de entre los muertos, nuestra fe estaría vacía. Pero como Jesús está vivo, tenemos esperanza en la vida eterna. Esta esperanza en la resurrección nos da fuerza y propósito, incluso en tiempos difíciles. Jesús advierte que quienes encuentran su alegría en las comodidades terrenales pueden perderse la verdadera felicidad. En cambio, Jesús nos llama a mirar más allá de esta vida y buscar la felicidad en Dios.

Ser bendecido significa encontrar el favor de Dios, a menudo a través de las dificultades. Se nos anima a ver bendiciones en nuestras luchas porque Dios está con nosotros. Jesús advierte que quienes encuentran consuelo en la riqueza y la satisfacción ahora pueden perderse la verdadera felicidad y que la verdadera alegría viene de Dios, no de las cosas materiales. Algunas personas dicen: “¿Por qué creer en la resurrección?” Bueno, sin la resurrección, nuestra fe es inútil y no tenemos esperanza, pero en las lecturas de hoy vemos que la resurrección de Jesús es el fundamento de nuestra fe. Creer en la resurrección significa confiar en que Jesús conquistó la muerte. Significa tener fe en que nosotros también tendremos vida eterna. Nos da esperanza de vida eterna con Jesús.

Jesús en las lecturas de hoy bendice a los pobres, hambrientos y a los que lloran y nos muestra que Él se preocupa por los necesitados y les promete alegría. Se nos advierte que la felicidad material es solo temporal. Debemos pensar en dos formas de vivir: el camino de los justos y el camino de los malvados. Aquellos que eligen evitar el pecado y deleitarse en la ley de Dios son bendecidos. Debemos ser como un árbol fuerte con raíces profundas, estable y fructífero mientras crece y prospera bajo el cuidado de Dios. (PC)
