Companions on the Journey

A ministry of mental health and wellness, provides support to the overall well-being of our parish community.

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Addiction, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, or grief, or aging, Companions on the Journey can help.

Mental Health and Wellness is an overall priority in keeping our mind, body, and spirit in balance.

We are wonderfully made in God’s image and likeness. One of the foundational elements of our faith is to assist us when we are brokenhearted.

I invite you to join us every third Thursday of the month at 9:30a.m., in the new library for an innovative way to receive wellness support. I encourage caregivers, and those dealing with any mental health issues or struggles from stress, to be part of our support ministry.

I bring to the community of St. Catherine Laboure extended experience and training in providing mental health and wellness support as well as grief counseling. I have experience with understanding solid Catholic practice when it comes to end of life, palliative care, and choosing and advocating the hospice experience.

As a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist with Recovery Method, it’s possible to manage the pain of unresolved grief equipping ourselves with good coping skills for the rest of our lives.

Grief is one of the most misunderstood natural occurrences in the human experience, I can help you navigate the challenges, in realizing that unresolved grief is often the root of mental health problems.
