Pentecost Sunday is the culmination of the Easter Season, when our fifty-day observance comes to an end, yet we still live out our inner essence as Easter People. This aspect of the Christian faith is the core of what we believe, as we have cherished the hope, the joy, and the promise of eternal life.

Let us pray that as the Holy Spirit falls upon us this Pentecost, as we prepare our inner dwelling to be the place of welcome, to take on the inner disposition required for the Holy Spirit to dwell within us and make us holier, more faithful, and desiring of the converted life.

How might we allow the Easter message to continue to burn within us throughout the year? We should ask ourselves what adjustments we are making to bring about Pentecost in our ordinary day-to-day life?

The Spirit of the Lord enlivens us in genuine faith, altering us to be the creatures of heaven we are called to be. Let us never lose sight of the vision as we dedicate ourselves to being led by the Holy Spirit, praying that the fire of His divine love will change us forever.

Domingo de Pentecostés

El Domingo de Pentecostés es la culminación del Tiempo de Pascua, cuando concluye nuestra celebración de cincuenta días, pero aún vivimos nuestra esencia como Pueblo de Pascua.

Este aspecto de la fe cristiana es la esencia de lo que creemos, pues hemos atesorado la esperanza, el gozo y la promesa de la vida eterna. Oremos para que, al descender el Espíritu Santo sobre nosotros este Pentecostés, mientras preparamos nuestra morada interior para ser un lugar de acogida, adquiramos la disposición interior necesaria para que el Espíritu Santo more en nosotros y nos haga más santos, más fieles y deseosos de una vida convertida.

¿Cómo podemos permitir que el mensaje de Pascua siga ardiendo en nosotros a lo largo del año? Deberíamos preguntarnos qué ajustes estamos haciendo para que Pentecostés se refleje en nuestra vida cotidiana.

El Espíritu del Señor nos vivifica con una fe genuina, transformándonos para ser las criaturas del cielo que estamos llamados a ser. Nunca perdamos de vista la visión mientras nos dedicamos a dejarnos guiar por el Espíritu Santo, orando para que el fuego de su divino amor nos transforme para siempre.
