The Four Avenues of Communication

by Fr. Michael D. Accinni Reinhardt, MA, Mdiv, MS  |  01/12/2025  |  Pastoral Corner

Dear Parish Family,

There soon will be four avenues of communication used regularly to convey our message--the bulletin, the announcements, the digital marquee, and our soon to launch brand new engaging parish website. These are the only formal means of parish communication.

Our new confessional is in. It is working out nicely. The confessional box is a centuries-old way of providing appropriate space for the sacrament to be conducted.

During scheduled confession times, Wednesday and Saturday after morning Mass, the main church will be reserved for those celebrating the sacrament of confession only.

During confession time, the Rosary Cenacle or other devotions, should take place inside the chapel. When confession is happening, and if you are present for confession, a commonsense mindset is needed, please refrain from sitting in ear’s shot of the confessional, out of respect for the priest and penitent. Our church spaces are small. We will offer music or Georgian Chant as part of the confession time to help create a better atmosphere of quiet reflection for the sacrament, and to offer ambient noise to help muffle voices.

The vestibule will soon be reorganized and decluttered as we prepare for Ordinary Time…you will notice the repositioning of some fixtures and features to help in our effort to include the vestibule as part of the sacred spaces of the church. We will also be decluttering the sanctuary as we empty the church of Christmas themes, in preparation for Ordinary Time, with the Baptismal Font, Paschal Candle, and Ambry being repositioned in the church for practicality and space.
