The readings this Sunday are about living God’s Word in everyday life. The readings encourage faith in action, love for others, and seeing Christ as the center of all creation. Following God’s will is not beyond our reach. God is the foundation of creation and of our faith. Everything exists through Him and is united in Him. We should love others, especially those in need.

The story of the Good Samaritan challenges us to show kindness and mercy. Faith is not just about knowing God’s Word. Faith comes alive when we live it out through our actions. The story of the Good Samaritan shows what compassion looks like. True love for God means caring for people, even strangers or those we find hard to love. God’s Word is already in our hearts. We can live it out if we listen and choose to follow it.

Jesus is the one who holds all things together. Our faith unites us with Him and with one another. We need to live our faith through not only man’s laws but moral laws. Moral law comes from God as a gift to guide us in choosing what is good and avoiding harm and by following moral law, we grow closer to God and live in ways that respect others. The moral law is not just a set of rules. It helps us understand right from wrong and build a just and loving community. By loving God and our neighbor we fulfill the purpose of moral law.

Real love takes action. It’s not just about what we believe, but what we do. Like the Samaritan, we’re called to care for those who are hurting, no matter who they are. God’s law is not about avoiding people. It is about helping them. The Samaritan, though rejected by others, lives out God’s call to love. How much do you love God? The answer lies in how much you’re willing to sacrifice for the sake of loving others, which is the definition of love that Jesus taught us with this parable and with his life.

El Buen Samaritano

Las lecturas de este domingo tratan sobre vivir la Palabra de Dios en la vida diaria. Las lecturas fomentan la fe en acción, el amor al prójimo y ver a Cristo como el centro de toda la creación. Seguir la voluntad de Dios no está fuera de nuestro alcance. Dios es el fundamento de la creación y de nuestra fe. Todo existe por medio de Él y está unido en Él. Debemos amar a los demás, especialmente a los necesitados.

La historia del Buen Samaritano nos reta a mostrar bondad y misericordia. La fe no se trata solo de conocer la Palabra de Dios. La fe cobra vida cuando la vivimos a través de nuestras acciones. La historia del Buen Samaritano muestra cómo se ve la compasión. El verdadero amor a Dios significa cuidar de las personas, incluso de los desconocidos o de aquellos a quienes nos resulta difícil amar. La Palabra de Dios ya está en nuestros corazones. Podemos vivirla si la escuchamos y elegimos seguirla.

Jesús es quien mantiene todas las cosas unidas. Nuestra fe nos une a Él y entre nosotros. Necesitamos vivir nuestra fe no solo a través de las leyes humanas, sino también de las leyes morales. La ley moral proviene de Dios como un don para guiarnos a elegir el bien y evitar el daño. Al seguirla, nos acercamos a Dios y vivimos respetando a los demás. La ley moral no es solo un conjunto de reglas. Nos ayuda a distinguir el bien del mal y a construir una comunidad justa y amorosa. Al amar a Dios y al prójimo, cumplimos el propósito de la ley moral.

El verdadero amor implica acción. No se trata solo de lo que creemos, sino de lo que hacemos. Como el samaritano, estamos llamados a cuidar de quienes sufren, sin importar quiénes sean. La ley de Dios no se trata de evitar a las personas, sino de ayudarlas. El samaritano, aunque rechazado por otros, vive el llamado de Dios a amar. ¿Cuánto amas a Dios? La respuesta está en cuánto estás dispuesto a sacrificar por amar a los demás, que es la definición de amor que Jesús nos enseñó con esta parábola y con su vida.

Cada día, haz una oración y pídele al Espíritu Santo que te ayude a amar a los demás como Cristo los ama. (PC)
