When we were little, we heard people say that Jesus has saved the world, but we are also not dumb. We have two eyes; we can look around us and see, “Well…things are still pretty messed up.” Go check the news: there is always something going wrong. But here’s the thing: Jesus saves the world by changing, by transforming the human heart. What changes the world and history is what changes the human heart, and that is Christ. When your heart is changed, when your heart is transformed, the world begins to transform.

The “saving” Jesus does, the victory Jesus wins, isn’t a social change, no, it is a victory within the human heart. And this is what we truly need. Allow Jesus to transform your heart this Lent, and that will change the world. Spend time in prayer, in adoration, in silence, and listen and beg the Lord to transform your heart, to transform your life.

We need to stand firm in our faith to seek wisdom and guidance in our leaders. We need to look at our own faults before judging others. Self-examination leads to true humility. So, we might say self-examination helps us recognize our own sins and grow more in humility. Reflecting on these things helps us to grow in our faith and live better Christian lives. By aligning our words, actions, and hearts with these lessons, we can follow Christ more closely.

We should first remember our own shortcomings and seek reconciliation. Avoid feeling superior and think carefully before speaking. Ensure your words come from a place of love and compassion. Helping others should be done with humility and understanding.

The readings this Sunday give us deep insights into our words, our hope in Christ, and the importance of humility. Humility helps us grow in faith and live as true Christians. We often judge people based on their appearance, wealth, or status. But what really matters is the condition of their hearts. Our conversations reveal our true beliefs and values. What we say shows what is inside us.

So let us remember the power of our words. They are a window to our hearts. Let us strive to speak words that reflect our faith and love for God and others. Let us strive for humility and seek to improve ourselves before judging others. By doing so, we can follow Christ more closely and help others on their spiritual journey.

Pride blinds us to our own faults. We become hypocrites, thinking we are better than others. This pride is a barrier to holiness and prevents us from leading others to Christ. Our words can impact our relationships deeply. When we speak with love and humility, we build others up. But if we are proud and critical, we can harm relationships.

We must be aware of our own weaknesses and strive to improve. Remember that our words reveal who we really are. Good words show a good heart, while bad words reveal inner problems. Our speech can lift others up or tear them down.

Transformando Corazones: El verdadero camino hacia la salvación

Cuando éramos pequeños, escuchábamos a la gente decir que Jesús había salvado al mundo, pero tampoco somos tontos. Tenemos dos ojos, podemos mirar a nuestro alrededor y ver: “Bueno… las cosas siguen bastante mal”. Vayan a ver las noticias: siempre hay algo que va mal. Pero aquí está la cuestión: Jesús salva al mundo cambiando, transformando el corazón humano. Lo que cambia el mundo y la historia es lo que cambia el corazón humano, y eso es Cristo. Cuando tu corazón cambia, cuando tu corazón se transforma, el mundo comienza a transformarse.

La “salvación” que hace Jesús, la victoria que Jesús gana, no es un cambio social, no, es una victoria dentro del corazón humano. Y esto es lo que realmente necesitamos. Permitan que Jesús transforme su corazón esta Cuaresma, y eso cambiará el mundo. Pasen tiempo en oración, en adoración, en silencio y escuchen y rueguen al Señor que transforme su corazón, que transforme su vida.

Necesitamos permanecer firmes en nuestra fe para buscar sabiduría y guía en nuestros líderes. Necesitamos mirar nuestras propias faltas antes de juzgar a los demás. Nuestras palabras pueden tener un profundo impacto en nuestras relaciones. Cuando hablamos con amor y humildad, edificamos a los demás. Pero si somos orgullosos y críticos, podemos dañar las relaciones.

Debemos ser conscientes de nuestras propias debilidades y esforzarnos por mejorar. Recordemos que nuestras palabras revelan quiénes somos realmente. Las buenas palabras muestran un buen corazón, mientras que las malas revelan problemas internos. Nuestro discurso puede elevar a los demás o derribarlos.
