In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us the parable of the workers in the vineyard. Some workers begin early in the morning, while others are hired later in the day. Yet, when it is time to receive their payment, everyone receives the same amount. The workers who arrived first become upset. They believe they deserve more because they worked longer. But the landowner reminds them that he has not treated them unfairly. Instead, he has chosen to be generous.

This Gospel reminds us that God’s love is not measured by human standards. We may compare ourselves with others and wonder who deserves more, who has done more, or who arrived first. God, however, looks at each person with mercy and love. It is never too late to turn toward God. Whether we have followed Him for many years or are only beginning our journey of faith, God welcomes us with the same generous heart. Let us rejoice not in what others receive, but in the goodness of God. May we learn to replace jealousy with gratitude and comparison with love. (ZG)

El Corazón Generoso De Dios

En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús nos cuenta la parábola de los trabajadores de la viña. Algunos comienzan temprano por la mañana, mientras que otros son contratados más tarde. Sin embargo, al llegar el momento de recibir su paga, todos reciben la misma cantidad Los trabajadores que llegaron primero se molestan. Creen merecer más porque trabajaron durante más tiempo. Pero el dueño de la viña les recuerda que no los ha tratado injustamente; al contrario, ha decidido ser generoso.

Este Evangelio nos recuerda que el amor de Dios no se mide con criterios humanos. Podemos compararnos con los demás y preguntarnos quién merece más, quién ha hecho más o quién llegó primero.
